Southeastern Plastic Surgery : About Dr. Rosenberg


	Laurence Z. Rosenberg, M.D. Dr. Rosenberg grew up in Albany, New York. He attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia for both college and medical school, where he earned many awards and distinctions. Dr. Rosenberg completed both general surgery and plastic surgery residency. He trained at the University of Alabama under pioneering plastic surgeon, Dr. Luis Vasconez. He is board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Rosenberg has written many publications and articles on topics including facelift, breast reduction, breast reconstruction, abdominoplasty, melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer reconstruction following Mohs procedures. As a result of his training and research, he is an Editorial Board Member of the Annals of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Rosenberg has a variety of interests and areas of specialization within cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. His areas of focus include facelifts, eyelid surgery, breast reconstruction, breast augmentation and reduction, abdominoplasty, hand surgery, laser treatments of skin disorders and body contouring with particular interest in massive weight loss patients. Dr. Rosenberg is the only board certified physician in north Florida and south Georgia to perform a unique hair restoration procedure of surgically transplanting individual hair follicular units. Dr. Rosenberg lives with his wife Lori, an obstetrician-gynecologist, and their two sons, Efrem and Marshall. During their time away from work, the family enjoys outdoor and charitable activities. 	back to topBen J. Kirbo, M.D. Dr. Kirbo is a board certified plastic surgeon who has been practicing in the North Florida and South Georgia area for more than 15 years. He is dedicated to providing unparalleled quality to every patient. A native of Bainbridge, Georgia, Ben J. Kirbo, M.D. received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and completed his medical degree at the University of Miami. Dr. Kirbo completed his general surgery residency at the University of Kentucky and his plastic surgery residency at Vanderbilt University where he trained under several internationally recognized plastic surgeons and perfected his surgical skills. Dr. Kirbo has a particular interest in facial cosmetic surgery, breast surgery and body contouring. Additionally, he has specialized training and experience in post-bariatric weight loss surgery and leads the region in providing this service to the growing patient base. He has extensive training in melanoma/skin cancer treatment and Mohs repairs. Dr. Kirbo is known by his colleagues both locally and regionally for his expertise in revising/correcting undesirable plastic surgery results. Dr. Kirbo along with Southeastern Plastic Surgery was selected as the only local surgical practice to participate in the Florida Melanoma Study. He was recently recognized by the Tallahassee community as a recipient of The Tally Awards as top surgeon in Tallahassee. This award was voted on and awarded by the community for providing the highest quality of care to Tallahassee and the surrounding areas.
