Body Cosmetic Surgery
Abdominoplasty contours the abdomen and waist creating a flat, firm abdominal area by removing excess skin and fat and tightening the underlying muscles.
Most people return to work after two weeks.
Liposuction is used to remove undesirable fat deposits and contour the body in a way that leaves a more sculpted firmer appearance. Most areas of the body can be improved by liposuction including: the abdomen, hips, back, thighs, knees, upper arms, chin, calves and neck.
Most people return to work in 3 to 5 days
Body Contouring after Weight Loss
Individuals who have experienced massive weight loss (100 pounds or more) are left with loose, excess skin and often are interested in body contouring. Body contouring can include one or multiple operations to correct loose and heavy skin folds left around the arms, thighs, breasts, buttocks, face and abdomen.
Surgeons at Southeastern Plastic Surgery have helped many individuals with body contouring following significant weight loss after bariatric surgery.
A Lower Body Lift is one of the most common procedures following dramatic weight loss. An incision is made around the lower trunk. The abdomen is flattened and the thighs and buttocks are lifted.
Excess skin and fat are removed. Surgery is performed in the hospital. Following surgery, can expect recovery time to last two to three weeks. Most people return to work after two weeks.

Arm lift surgery, also called a brachioplasty, removes the excess skin of the upper arm. Surgery can last from one to two hours with mild to moderate discomfort. Patients may experience some swelling and most return to work within three to seven days.
back to topSpider Vein Injections (Sclerotherapy)
Sclerotherapy is using a high concentration of saline solution to inject into the spider veins, causing them to collapse and subsequently disappear. This procedure takes approximately an hour. Afterwards you will have small bandages and will wear compression hose for 3 days. Side effects may include bruising, small areas of irritation at the injection sites, darkening or lightening of the skin where the veins were, and blushing (creation of new fine veins). Your veins may take 2-4 weeks to heal, and often times a second treatment is needed.
Gynecomastia (Male Breast Reduction)
Gynecomastia is a medical term that comes from a Greek phrase meaning “woman-like breasts.” Though the term may not be very well known, it is actually a very common condition, affecting an estimated 40 to 60 percent of men.
For men with gynecomastia, the breast glands can grow to an unusually large size, resulting in embarrassingly large breasts. Gynecomastia can occur for males in one or both breasts. A large number of gynecomastia cases emerge in boys undergoing bodily changes through puberty; a significant percentage of younger boys inflicted with gynecomastia eventually outgrow it. Some, however, will not be able to get rid of their enlarged breast glands, no matter how physically active they are.
Male breast reduction involves the surgical removal of excess fat, glandular tissue and skin surrounding the breast area through means of excision or liposuction. For men with unusually large areolas (the dark skin surrounding the nipple) a qualified plastic surgeon can also reduce the size of this area during breast-reduction surgery. For eligible candidates for this procedure, male breast reduction can result in a chest they can be proud of.
