Facelift

The Face Lift procedure, also called Rhytidectomy, is a cosmetic surgery procedure that is performed to rejuvenate the appearance of the lower portion of the face. As we get older our skin looses elasticity (what keeps it tight), and we may lose valuable fats that also contribute to that healthy, youthful appearance. We start to notice skin sagging, lines, creases, and wrinkles that not only age us, but can make us look more run-down and tired than we feel or wish to project out to the world. Today we have so many options at the tip of our fingers when it comes to facial rejuvenation–we have creams, non-invasive, minimally invasive, and surgical procedures. Each procedure or treatment is focused on a specific aspect of the aging process and a specific area of the face. How do you know which is the right one for you?

Your first step is a consultation with a Plastic Surgeon. During your consultation you will be asked about your goals, concerns, and your medical history to determine the best procedure plan for reaching your goals. It’s totally OK if you’re not sure what procedure will get you there, consultations are a great way to get a realistic idea of what is possible and the safest most effective way of getting there. Typically the Face Lift procedure is for those with more advanced signs of aging that cannot be improved through less invasive methods. To learn more about the Face Lift procedure and other facial rejuvenation options, contact our office to schedule your consultation today.
