Facelift Tallahassee

Facelift surgery is performed to reverse those unwanted signs of aging that are more advanced than non-invasive treatments can correct. The facelift specifically targets the area of the lower portion of the face and jowls and can address the loss of skin elasticity or sagging. Sometimes the facelift procedure may be performed in combination with other facial rejuvenation procedures such as a brow lift, eyelid lift, or dermal fillers for a more complete facial rejuvenation. The facelift surgery is performed through an incision that begins at the temples in the hairline, to hide scarring, and then continues around the ear and into the lower portion of the scalp. In addition to removing excess skin, the underlying fat and tissue may be redistributed and the muscles may be lifted to create a smoother, more youthful appearance.

In some cases, a limited incision may be able to achieve the desired results and in those cases the incision could run just around the ears. Ideal candidates for a facelift should be in good health with no conditions that could hinder the healing process, they should be non-smokers, and have realistic expectations and positive outlook on the procedure and it’s potential results.
