DR. CHRIS DeROSIER
JOINS SOUTHEASTERN PLASTIC SURGERY
TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA, July 1, 2013 — Drs. Ben Kirbo and Laurence Rosenberg announced Dr.Chris DeRosier, board-certified plastic surgeon, will join Southeastern Plastic Surgery in July.
Dr. De Rosier joins Southeastern Plastic Surgery from the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Alabama (UAB) in Birmingham, where he performed all aspects of plastic surgery including breast, abdominal wall, extremity and facial surgery. He is skilled in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery.
“We are proud to have Chris join our practice and know that he brings added skills and services to the Tallahassee market,” said Dr. Ben Kirbo. “He trained in microsurgery and his experience in free tissue breast reconstruction (Free TRAM and DIEP flaps) will be unique in this area.”
His new offerings in breast reconstruction will allow patients in the area to have reconstruction closer to home. Currently, patients in North Florida and South Georgia must travel to Gainesville, Jacksonville, Birmingham or New Orleans to receive these procedures.
Dr. Laurence Rosenberg added, “We conducted a search looking for someone exactly like Dr. DeRosier. We are very excited that his experience in breast reconstruction will benefit the entire community.”
Dr. DeRosier is a graduate of the UAB School of Medicine. He completed both general and plastic surgery residencies at UAB prior to opening his practice at the university. Dr. DeRosier is certified by The American Society of Plastic Surgery, The American Board of Surgery and The American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. DeRosier and his wife and three children are moving to Tallahassee from Birmingham, Alabama. He looks forward to being a part of the Tallahassee community and continuing the same tradition of excellent patient care at Southeastern Plastic Surgery.
