Facial Fat Grafting
Fat grafting removes unwanted fat from one area of the body and transfers it to an area that will benefit from added fullness. Our plastic surgeons in Tallahassee often use this technique to add permanent volume to the cheeks, eyelids, lips, and nasolabial folds for women and men from Destin, FL; Dothan, AL; Valdosta and Thomasville, GA; and surrounding areas.
What is Facial Fat Grafting Surgery Like?
In order to obtain the fat to be transferred, your plastic surgeon will perform liposuction, taking excess fat from your abdomen, hips and thighs, then prepared and injected into the face to fill in hollows, deep lines, and sagging.
We perform fat injections under ultrasound guidance, which allows the surgeon to see exactly where the fat is placed. It not only allows for better results, but it is much safer. He can see the muscle and safely avoid it.
What Areas Can Facial Fat Grafting Improve?
- Restore volume to the cheeks and temples
- Fill deep lines wrinkles
- Augment lips
- Fill in nasolabial folds
- Improve appearance of marionette lines
- Lift the corners of the mouth
- Fill out the jawline
- Fill in tear troughs
- Fill in lines between the brows
